Zielona Góra-Gorzów is a Latin Rite diocese in western Poland, established as the Diocese of Gorzów in 1972 and given its current name in 1992. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Szczecin-Kamień, led by Bishop Tadeusz Lityński since 2015.

History

A suffragan within the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Szczecin-Kamień, the Diocese of Zielona Góra-Gorzów (Latin: Viridimontanensis-Gorzoviensis) is a Latin Church jurisdiction in Poland. Its cathedral is the Katedra Wniebowzięcia NMP in Gorzów Wielkopolski, its co-cathedral in Zielona Góra is dedicated to Hedwig of Silesia (in Polish, św. Jadwigi Śląskiej), and it counts a minor basilica, the Bazylika Matki Bożej Rokitniańskiej, in Rokitno.
