The Diocese of Mayagüez is a Latin Catholic diocese covering the western coast of Puerto Rico, with its see in Mayagüez. Erected in 1976 from territory of the dioceses of Ponce and Arecibo, it is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of San Juan de Puerto Rico.

History
The western part of the island of Puerto Rico belongs to the Diocese of Mayagüez (Latin: Dioecesis Maiaguezensis), a Catholic diocese in the United States. A prelate bishop leads the diocese and pastors its mother church in the City of Mayagüez, the Catedral Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, which faces the Plaza Colón.
