Project preserves Basilica of St Francis
First source report
The Preserving Assisi project has launched a digital platform to protect the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, Italy. The project commemorates the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi.
The digital archive uses more than 27,000 images, 3D surveys, 360-degree panoramic photos, and ultra-high-resolution photography to document the basilica. These materials create a detailed record of the site's architecture, art, and history through immersive virtual tours and technical data.
