Archbishop Charles Scicluna joins Daphne Caruana Galizia's family in prayer
First source report
Archbishop Charles Scicluna joined the family of Daphne Caruana Galizia for a private prayer service to mark the ninth anniversary of her murder. The service included a reading from the Book of Ecclesiastes and a blessing from the Archbishop, with musical accompaniment by harpist Jacob Portelli.
The gathering also remembered Rose Vella, the mother of Ms. Caruana Galizia, who died in 2023. According to the Archdiocese of Malta, the Archbishop used the moment to express solidarity with the family in their search for full justice following the 2017 assassination of the journalist in Bidnija.
