Archbishop Hicks Discusses His Appointment as Grand Prior of the ‘Good and Noble’ Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre

Archbishop Ronald A. Hicks discussed his appointment as Grand Prior of the USA Eastern Lieutenancy of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem during an appearance on the SiriusXM series All Good Things with Archbishop Hicks.

The archbishop was named Grand Prior on Oct. 17 during the annual Investiture Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. This appointment follows the tradition for the Archbishop of New York. Archbishop Hicks noted his long-standing participation in the order's activities during his time in Chicago and Joliet.

Michael La Civita, director of communications at the Catholic Near East Welfare Association, joined the program to explain the mission of the order. La Civita described the role as a vocation with specific obligations to the Holy Land. Archbishop Hicks said the work of the order is rooted in prayer and faith.
