Archbishop of Puerto Montt calls for recovering sense of community

Archbishop Fernando Ramos called for a renewed sense of community and a commitment to a shared future during the traditional Te Deum for the national holidays at the Cathedral of Puerto Montt. The ecumenical service brought together civil and military authorities, social organization representatives, and community members to give thanks for Chile.

During his homily, Archbishop Ramos invited people to view the nation's history through collective memory. He noted that the September 18 celebrations allow citizens to reconnect with the values, events, and dreams that shaped the country's identity. He specifically referenced the spirit of those who participated in the independence process and the building of the Republic.

The Archbishop urged the community to strengthen their sense of belonging and focus on the common good to support new generations.
