Archbishop of Udine to meet mayors of 124 municipalities

Archbishop Riccardo Lamba will meet with the mayors of 124 municipalities within the Archdiocese of Udine on Thursday, November 5. The meeting will consist of a Holy Mass at the Oratorio della Purità in Piazza Duomo, Udine.

The Archbishop scheduled the gathering to coincide with the anniversary of the death of Giorgio La Pira, the former mayor of Florence. In an invitation to the mayors, Archbishop Lamba referenced Pope Leo XIV’s document *Magnifica humanitas*, noting that the memory of peacemakers demonstrates how grace generates a creative resistance to evil.

Archbishop Lamba will present his message for the 2026/2027 pastoral year, titled "Che cosa è mai l’uomo perché te ne curi?"
