Archdiocese of Alba Iulia hosts 120 youth at Egyházmegyei Ifjúsági Találkozó

120 young people from various parishes gathered in Szatmárnémeti on Saturday, September 19, 2026, for the Diocesan Youth Meeting hosted by the Archdiocese of Alba Iulia. The event used the motto "I am with you" to encourage participants to pause their daily routines to listen to God and one another.

Bishop Jenő Schönberger celebrated the central Mass at the cathedral. During the liturgy, István Németh delivered a homily encouraging the youth to listen to God's word to allow it to shape their lives through silence and attention. Németh also gave a presentation on the importance of reading the scriptures to communicate with God, which included a discussion on the uses and limits of artificial intelligence.

The choir from the János Hám provided the music for the gathering, led by music teacher Éva Hadházi.
