Archdiocese of Santa Cruz hosts Clericus Cup 2026

The Archdiocese of Santa Cruz de la Sierra hosted the Clericus Cup 2026, a lightning football tournament for priests, on Thursday, October 29. The event brought together representatives from the Diocese of Tarija, the Apostolic Vicariate of Camiri, the Apostolic Vicariate of Ñuflo de Chávez, and the Organization of Seminaries of Bolivia. The host delegation from Santa Cruz was divided into diocesan and religious clergy.

The tournament began at the Cancha Novillos sports complex with a welcome for the delegations at 8:30 a.m., followed by an official parade of banners. After a protocol ceremony involving hymns and a blessing, matches commenced at 9:30 a.m. The competition was organized into two series, each containing three representative teams. The event was designed to promote communion, health, and fraternity through prayer, sport, and mission.
