Bishop Dom Altevir of Tefé Prelature celebrates at Sant'Ana Matriz in Itaúna and meets Diocesan Curia

Bishop Dom Altevir of the Prelature of Tefé met with the diocesan curia and celebrated Mass at the Sant'Ana Matriz in Itaúna during a visit to the Diocese of Divinópolis.

During his visit to the diocesan curia headquarters, the bishop spoke with staff about the value of exchanging administrative information to support the work in the Tefé prelature. He described working in a curia as a mission. The Diocese of Divinópolis has maintained a sister church relationship with Tefé in the Amazonas region since the 1970s, providing missionary and financial assistance to the northern prelature.

The bishop celebrated a Mass at the Sant'Ana Matriz that included representatives from the Sant'Ana, Santo Antônio, and Nossa Senhora da Piedade deaneries.
