Bishop Guglielmo to ordain 5 permanent deacons

Bishop Guglielmo will ordain five permanent deacons on December 7 at the Basilica Santuario di Tindari. The Diocese of Patti announced that the bishop met with the candidates at the bishop's palace on the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi to communicate the upcoming ceremony.

The ordination takes place on the eve of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The bishop noted that the event carries a particular Marian character due to the location and the date.

The five candidates are Nicola Arrigo from the Sacro Cuore di Gesù parish in Patti; Antonio Calabria from the San Nicolò di Bari parish in Gioiosa Marea; Emanuele Castorina and Marco Faillaci from the Santa Lucia parish in Mistretta; and Salvatore Maniaci from the Santa Lucia parish in Sant’Agata Militello.
