Bishop Marek Solarczyk celebrated Mass at the Holy Cross Church in Kozienice on September 17 to pray for the beatification of Matka Kazimiera Gruszczyńska. Gruszczyńska founded the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters to serve the sick in the 19th century.

During the homily, Bishop Solarczyk said Gruszczyńska's mission was to help those in need, noting that she recognized every person experiencing pain, rejection, or loneliness. He asked for the revelation of her holiness through an act of beatification.

Parish priest Dariusz Sałek expressed gratitude for Gruszczyńska's faith and love for people, particularly the needy. Born in Kozienice in 1848, Gruszczyńska organized a new religious community.
