Bishop Mauricio Landra launches 30th Argentine Prayer Day

Bishop Mauricio Landra, the auxiliary bishop of Mercedes-Luján and Episcopal Delegate for the Causes of Saints, has organized the 30th Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of the Argentine People and the Glorification of its Servants of God. The day of prayer is scheduled for Sunday, November 1.

The theme for this year is Blessed are those who work for peace. Bishop Landra stated that the theme serves to recognize and thank those who testified to their faith in Argentina. The selection follows the Franciscan jubilee year and acts as preparation for the upcoming visit of Pope Leo XIV.

The Delegation for the Causes of Saints has provided prayer materials, including flyers and a booklet, for use in pastoral communities across the country. Participants are encouraged to use the welcome prayer for the Pope, which refers to him as a pilgrim of peace, while praying for the saints, blesseds, and candidates for sainthood in Argentina.
