Bishop Óscar Blanco visits Cape Horn and Puerto Toro

Bishop Óscar Blanco Martínez visited Cabo de Hornos and Puerto Toro on Monday, October 26. Accompanied by Father Miguel Bahamonde Villarroel, the parish priest of Puerto Williams and auxiliary chaplain of the Distrito Naval Beagle, the bishop participated in a navigation through the area alongside the Armada de Chile and students from Liceo Bicentenario Donald Mc Intyre Griffiths.

During the trip, Bishop Blanco met with families of the Armada at Cabo de Hornos to discuss their service in the remote territory. The delegation then traveled to Puerto Toro, where residents gathered for the monthly celebration of the Eucharist. The Mass included a remembrance of deceased loved ones from the locality. The visit concluded with a time of dialogue and fraternity with the inhabitants.
