Cardenal Carlos Aguiar Retes preaches on God's forgiveness

Cardinal Carlos Aguiar Retes preached that God is merciful and always near to those who seek him. During his homily, the cardinal noted that when people realize they have made mistakes and confess those errors to God, they should have certainty in receiving forgiveness.

Aguiar Retes explained that the call to pray and invoke God should be paired with the intention of living according to the teachings of Jesus. He stated that recognizing Jesus walks alongside people makes it easier to live a life worthy of the Gospel. He also described the words of Jesus as being full of mercy.
