Bishop Jean Marie Chami presides over Mass for Nile Valley scouts

Bishop Jean Marie Chami, the Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarchal Vicar for Egypt, Sudan, and South Sudan, presided over a Mass at the Resurrection Cathedral in El Daher. The liturgy celebrated the presentation of the Our Lady of the Wheat scarf and training badges to leaders of the Nile Valley Scouts and Guides movement. Archimandrite Pio Farah, the patriarchal vicar and cathedral pastor, participated in the celebration.

Following the Mass, Bishop Chami met with movement leaders and friendly scout groups to support their spiritual and scouting development. He encouraged the participants to continue their training, earn scout badges, utilize the leaders' school, and progress through the Our Lady of the Wheat scarf program. During the meeting, the bishop urged the leaders to grow in wisdom and leadership to serve as examples for the generations they lead.
