50 catechism students from St. Joseph's Church in Vasanthapuram participated in a field experience trip on Sunday, September 13. Organized by parish priest Father Vardhan Cruz to mark National Catechism Sunday, the trip included visits to St. Anthony's Church in Manippai and the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto in Madhakkal.

The trip followed a First Holy Communion ceremony held at St. Joseph's Church on Saturday, September 12. During the Mass, six children received the sacrament in a service led by Father Quinson Fernando, a lecturer at St. Francis Xavier High Seminary in Colombo.
