Chirag Vidyalaya Students Explore Water Conservation Through Art and Action
First source report
Students in grades one through seven at Chirag Vidyalaya in Rajgir participated in a program titled “Life-Giving Water: Celebrating the Season of Creation” to learn about protecting water resources. The program used art, drama, music, and discussion to show how water sustains people, animals, and plants.
During a drawing competition, students illustrated the difference between a world with sufficient water and one facing scarcity, depicting themes such as dry land and animals struggling without water. Students also performed a play called “If There Is Water, There Is Tomorrow,” which demonstrated how careless habits lead to waste.
To identify practical conservation methods, students held a group discussion on the causes and solutions of the water crisis. Participants suggested habits such as turning off taps while brushing teeth and using less water when washing cars. The program also included a general knowledge quiz on rainwater harvesting and rivers, as well as poetry, slogan writing, and singing competitions.
