Students complete 2026 pedagogical journey of Cátedra Laudato si’

Students from participating secondary schools concluded the 2026 pedagogical cycle of Cátedra Laudato si’ by presenting environmental diagnoses at Club Atlético Lanús. Using collective mapping tools, the students identified environmental risks and assessed the availability of green spaces near their schools and surrounding areas.

The event included a tree planting session at the club grounds as part of the Forestar Program of the Red de Universidades para el Cuidado de la Casa Común. This activity brought the total number of trees planted by the students through this initiative to 20.

Cátedra Laudato si’ is a collaboration between the Diocese of Avellaneda–Lanús, the Universidad Nacional de Avellaneda, the Universidad Nacional de Lanús, and the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional Facultad Regional Avellaneda. Attendees included Jorge Calzoni, rector of the Universidad Nacional de Avellaneda; Nicolás Russo, president of Club Atlético Lanús; Maia Moreira, president of the Fundación Lanús; Mauro Cunto; and María Emilia Costa.
