Conferenza Episcopale Campana to hold regional formation meeting

The Campania Episcopal Conference will hold the first meeting of a regional training program titled "Faces and Voices of Campania" on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Sala Marianna De Fusco in Pompeii.

The program addresses the responsibility to communicate, educate, and describe the region. The inaugural session will examine ecclesial communication and education in the context of the encyclical *Magnifica Humanitas* and the 2026 World Communications Day message from Pope Leo XIV, titled "Guarding Human Voices and Faces." The curriculum is based on an appeal issued by the bishops of Campania.

The training is open to journalists, media workers, and directors of diocesan social communication offices. It is also intended for teachers of Catholic religion, educators, political and administrative leaders, priests, deacons, seminarians, catechists, and pastoral workers. The course provides accredited professional development for journalists and continuing education credits for teachers.

The first meeting includes a greeting from Archbishop-Prelate of Pompeii Tommaso Caputo.
