Diocese of Porto publishes 2026 Advent Walk proposal

The Diocese of Porto has published its 2026 Advent Walk proposal on its website.

The diocesan pastoral coordination team designed the itinerary to run from Advent 2026 through the Baptism of the Lord in 2027. Based on Gl 4,19, the program focuses on the theme of being formed into the likeness of Christ. The guide uses a central image of Christ being conceived, born, growing, manifested, and sent to structure the liturgical season. For each celebration, the material provides a keyword, a reflection question, and suggestions for personal, family, and community life.

This spiritual path aligns with the "forming" axis of the Diocesan Synod and the final chapter of the Synod Document regarding the formation of missionary disciples. The proposal arrives as the vicariate meetings to "Tune the Synod" conclude in mid-December, offering pastoral material for local communities to adapt to their specific needs.
