Diocese of Caetité celebrates National Youth Day with over 3,000 young people

More than 3,000 young people from all parishes in the Diocese of Caetité gathered in Guanambi on Sunday, October 18, to celebrate National Youth Day. The event included prayer, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and a solemn Mass.

Bishop José Roberto Silva Carvalho presided over the Mass, which was concelebrated by priests of the diocese. During his homily, Bishop Carvalho spoke about the role of young people in the Church and society, inviting them to serve as a living hope in the world.

The diocesan youth sector reported that attendance exceeded expectations. Participants used the gathering to prepare for the Year of Youth scheduled for 2027. National Youth Day is an annual event celebrated throughout Brazil.
