Diocese of Carpi publishes statement n° 46 on October 10, 2026

The Diocese of Carpi released statement number 46 on October 10, 2026, featuring a message from Bishop Castellucci regarding the role of media and the pursuit of truth. The communication coincides with a diocesan day for the Avvenire newspaper scheduled for Sunday, October 11.

In his message, Bishop Castellucci addressed how truth is often compromised by relativism, which replaces truth with opinion, or by integralism, which uses truth as a weapon against opponents. He noted that for Christians, truth is found in the person of Christ, who offers a path and life rather than judgment and destruction.

The Bishop highlighted the influence of Pope Leo XIV’s encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, which discusses Christian anthropology in the age of artificial intelligence. The Bishop cited the Pope's warning that constant digital information flows and refined algorithms make it easy to manipulate decisions and preferences. He urged people to seek wisdom and righteousness rather than immediate digital impact.
