Diocese of Massa Carrara–Pontremoli to host "Oltre lo sguardo" on 22 October

The diocesan Caritas of Massa Carrara–Pontremoli scheduled the event "Oltre lo sguardo" for 18:30 on October 22 at the Episcopio in Pontremoli. The program focuses on youth distress, juvenile justice, and new narratives, seeking to look past mistakes to find potential for change and redemption in young people.

Father Claudio Burgio, chaplain of the Cesare Beccaria juvenile detention center in Milan, will serve as the guest speaker. Bishop Mario Vaccari is also expected to attend the community discussion, which addresses educational responses and how society can support those in marginal situations.

The event will conclude with the final report of the Jobel project. This national initiative, promoted by Caritas Italiana with the support of Intesa Sanpaolo, focused on the juvenile criminal justice system during 2025–2026 and ended in late September 2026.
