Diocese of Nuoro to celebrate 100 years of L'Ortobene

The Diocese of Nuoro is holding two events to mark the 100th anniversary of its weekly newspaper, L'Ortobene. Founded in 1926 by Bishop Maurilio Fossati, the publication reaches this centennial milestone through a series of celebrations.

One event held on Thursday, October 1, was a conference titled "Daily Life in 100 Years: L'Ortobene, the Voice of the Community." The conference featured Bishop Antonello Mura and the newspaper's director, Father Francesco Mariani. Other speakers included Mauro Ungaro, president of the Federation of Catholic Weeklies, and a journalist from Avvenire.
