Diocese of San Carlos de Ancud publishes August edition of Diocesan Bulletin

The Diocese of San Carlos de Ancud has released its August 2026 edition of the diocesan bulletin to share news from local pastoral communities.

In the publication, Bishop Juan María Agurto Muñoz discusses the bicentennial of the annexation of Chiloé to the Republic of Chile, encouraging readers to appreciate their history and work toward an inclusive nation. The bulletin reports on several August events, including the visit of the Virgin of Carmen Peregrina to various communities, celebrations for children, acolytes, and youth, and devotion to Jesus Nazareno throughout the archipelago, particularly in Caguach.

The edition also contains news from the Chilean Church and the Holy See, the diocesan schedule for September, and a report on the 1% contribution. Pedro Gallardo Quinchén serves as the communications officer for the Ancud bishopric.
