Military Ordinariate of Colombia holds priestly encounter

Priests of the Military Ordinariate of Colombia participated in a three day encounter from September 14 to 16 to strengthen their pastoral service to military and police units and their families. The event, called the 2026 Military Priestly Encounter – 2, was organized by Bishop José Roberto Ospina Leongómez, the Bishop Emeritus of Buga and Apostolic Administrator of the Military Ordinariate of Colombia.

The gathering provided training in liturgy and biblical studies to help chaplains apply faith and scripture to the specific contexts of uniformed personnel. Priests also held meetings organized by deaneries to coordinate pastoral work across different chaplaincies and zones.
