Diocese of Termoli–Larino opens new pastoral year

The Diocese of Termoli–Larino opened its new pastoral year with the theme "Generating Faith" during a diocesan assembly held on October 1, 2026. Bishop Claudio Palumbo convened the meeting at the Santa Maria degli Angeli parish church in Termoli.

Cardinal Roberto Repole, the archbishop of Turin and bishop of Susa, attended as a guest to speak on the gift of announcement. During his address, Cardinal Repole discussed how the Church must exist within a changing society by rediscovering how to share the faith freely and without interest. He noted that a missionary Church must prioritize gratitude and build relationships based on mutual generosity rather than personal gain.

During the assembly, the diocese renewed the mandates for catechists and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion. Bishop Palumbo expressed thanks to the priests and other participants who attended the event.
