Diocese of Erexim to hold 75th Romaria a N. Sra. de Fátima

The Diocese of Erexim will begin a novena on Friday to prepare for its 75th Romaria a N. Sra. de Fátima. The novena runs through October 10 and features four daily celebrations: a 07h Mass, a 14h Rosary and Mass, a 18h Rosary and Mass, and a 19h30 procession from the Cathedral to the Sanctuary followed by Mass.

The theme for the pilgrimage is “Fátima, um apelo de paz” with the motto “Felizes os que promovem a paz” (Mt 5,9). The first day focuses on “Peregrinar com a Rainha da paz” with the prayer “Senhor, fazei-nos instrumentos de vossa paz.” Each day will focus on a request from the prayer attributed to Saint Francis to remember the 800 years since his death, including bringing love where there is hatred, forgiveness where there is offense, unity where there is discord, faith where there is doubt, truth where there is error, hope where there is despair, joy where there is sadness, and light where there is darkness.
