International Association of Exorcists warns against occultism on Halloween

The International Association of Exorcists issued a statement on October 27, 2026, warning that the promotion of occultism through Halloween is not harmless. The association noted that presenting occult practices as mere cultural or recreational activities does not make them safe.

The association expressed concern regarding the increase in festivals, esoteric fairs, and events dedicated to witchcraft, divination, mediumship, and magic. According to the statement, some of these events are organized or supported by local authorities to attract tourists to peripheral villages. The International Association of Exorcists cautioned that these practices are being trivialized within society.
