Lama Zopa Rinpoche gives advice on raising a child

Lama Zopa Rinpoche shared advice regarding five essential attitudes and qualities to teach children to help them find happiness and benefit others.

The teacher provided these instructions to a student expecting a child, suggesting that parents use a Universal Education style to guide a child's life. According to Lama Zopa Rinpoche, teaching these qualities helps a child bring happiness to themselves and all living beings, including humans and animals, while causing less harm to others.

The first quality identified is kindness. Lama Zopa Rinpoche stated that children should learn to show kindness not only to friends but also to strangers and enemies.
