Missioni Don Bosco to hold Corsa dei Santi 2026

Missioni Don Bosco will hold the 18th edition of the Race of the Saints on November 1, 2026. The sporting event is organized in collaboration with Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi and features a 10 kilometer loop.

Proceeds from the race will fund a project to provide drinkable water in the Republic of the Congo. Salesian missionaries plan to build wells and distribution systems in four locations: the Massengo neighborhood in Brazzaville, the Côte-Matève neighborhood in Pointe-Noire, and the rural towns of Gamboma and Mindouli. The project includes geophysical surveys, drilling, and the installation of water pumps.

Don Luca Barone, president of Missioni Don Bosco, noted during a press conference that access to drinking water is essential to meeting United Nations goals for 2030. The event typically attracts thousands of participants from Italy and 45 other countries.
