The Diocese of Valledupar formed nine new communities of couples following a formation weekend held at the Juan Pablo II Seminary. Approximately 80 couples from various parishes participated in the event to begin a new stage of diocesan formation.

The new communities include members from parishes in Valledupar, San Juan del Cesar, Curumaní, Chiriguaná, and La Jagua de Ibirico. Eleven catechists and the Diocesan Commission assisted the participants during the weekend. Bishop Óscar José Vélez Isaza presided over the Sunday Eucharist to mark the start of the couples' shared formation process.
