Obras Misionales Pontificias awarded Father Ángel Becerril the Beata Paulina Jaricot missionary prize on Thursday to recognize his 60 years of mission work. Becerril, a priest from the Instituto Español de Misiones Extranjeras (IEME), received the tribute for his service in Africa and Asia.

The award honors Becerril's career of evangelization. According to Vida Nueva, the recognition celebrates his decades of mission work performed away from the spotlight. Religión en Libertad noted that the 88-year-old priest dedicated his life to bringing the Gospel to those who do not know Christ.
