Bishop of Albenga–Imperia delivers homily on the Solemnity of Saint Michael the Archangel

The Bishop of Albenga–Imperia delivered a homily at the Albenga Cathedral on September 29, 2026, for the Solemnity of Saint Michael the Archangel. He used the meaning of the archangel's name to ask the faithful whether they are placing God at the center of their lives or following modern idols like individualism and the pursuit of power.

The bishop mentioned his recent pilgrimage to Assisi, where he visited the body of Carlo Acutis at the Sanctuary of the Spogliazione. He noted that Acutis, much like Saint Francis, lived by the principle of prioritizing God over himself.
