P. Biju Antony scj celebrates Deanery Youth Vocation Mass
First source report
Father Biju Antony, scj, presided over a vocation Mass for young people from the Olton Deanery on Friday, September 25. Nearly 70 youths from various parishes gathered at the Olton Convent for an evening of prayer and fellowship.
Monsignor Daniel McQuie and Father Toby concelebrated the Mass, which featured music from the Olton Friary parish choir. During his homily, Father Toby encouraged the attendees to reflect on God's call and remain open to the different ways the Lord communicates with individuals. Young people participated in the liturgy by proclaiming the readings and leading the prayers of the faithful, including members from the San Carlo Acutis group.
Sister Roseline of the Little Sisters of the Poor and Brother Andrew, scj, shared their personal vocational journeys to illustrate how religious calls manifest at different stages of life. Organizers expressed gratitude to Libby from the Diocese and the youth pastoral leaders from the various parishes for their help in organizing the event.
