In the message, the CEI presidency expressed gratitude to the medical and healthcare staff for their care. The group noted that Italian churches, religious communities, and parishioners have supported the Pope through continuous prayer. The CEI offered prayers for the Pope's peaceful recovery and full restoration of health, placing his ministry under the protection of the Virgin Mary.
