Parish of Artesa de Segre makes pilgrimage to Schoenstatt Shrine

Pilgrims from the Parish of the Assumption of Artesa de Segre visited the Schoenstatt Sanctuary in Valldoreix on Saturday, September 19. Led by their rector, Cristian Casamitjana, the group traveled to the sanctuary in Barcelona while it celebrates its Jubilee Year.

The group met with the sanctuary's custodian sisters and a group of young people who previously conducted missions in Artesa de Segre during Holy Week. During the visit, Sister Maria del Mar Parès explained the history and characteristics of the sanctuary. After visiting the oratory of Father Joseph Kentenich, the movement's founder, the pilgrims attended Mass celebrated by Father Casamitjana.

The pilgrimage concluded with a meal shared with the Sisters of Mary. The group expressed anticipation for the return of the young missionaries to Artesa de Segre for the upcoming Holy Week celebrations.
