Paróquia São João Batista no Capão promotes reflection on mental health and welcoming

São João Batista Parish in the Capão neighborhood of Campos dos Goytacazes held a discussion group on September 17 to promote mental health awareness and emotional well-being.

Aline Souza led the session, which addressed the importance of emotional care, self-care, and responding to human suffering through the lens of the Gospel. Parish priest Father Alexandre Mothé attended the meeting.

The discussion highlighted how prayer and professional support can work together, suggesting that seeking psychological assistance complements a life of faith. The event encouraged the parish community to practice better listening, fraternity, and mutual support when facing daily challenges.
