The first edition of the Laboratory of Formation of Formators concluded in Fátima

The National Department of Youth Ministry of the Portuguese Episcopal Conference completed the first edition of its Laboratory of Formation of Formators this month. The program concluded on October 17 and 18 with a third bootcamp. The project will return in 2027.

The six month program began in April and trained 27 youth ministry agents from 10 Portuguese dioceses. The training aimed to prepare individuals who instruct other youth ministry agents at national, diocesan, and parish levels. During the final weekend, six instructors led sessions on planning, Church leadership, non-formal education, social media, and listening to young people.

David Moura, who is responsible for training at the National Department of Youth Ministry, stated that the goal is to create a culture within youth ministry involving families, clergy, and young people.
