Partners in Excellence students show impact of giving

Students from the Archdiocese of Baltimore shared their experiences during the 30th Partners in Excellence breakfast on Sept. 29. The annual event brings together local business leaders to learn about the effects of scholarship funding on Catholic students and schools.

Samantha Shivers-Gudger, a parent of a fourth grader at Mother Mary Lange Catholic School, said the scholarships support a student's future ability to serve the community. She noted that her daughter shares stories of her daily learning and school activities.

Dr. Mindy Imes, president of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Essex, said the funding helps educators reach more students and assist them in discovering their talents. During the program, students from the school's ukulele class performed for the attendees.
