Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV has chosen the theme "The love of Christ sends us forth" for the 101st World Mission Day. The 2027 observance will take place on Sunday, 24 October 2027.

Based on 2 Cor. 5:14, the theme highlights how the love of Christ serves as the motivation for proclaiming the Gospel and serving others.

The Holy See will publish a message from the Pope in the first months of 2027 to guide the reflection and missionary formation of Christian communities.
