Corteo Storico Terra Sancti Benedicti to reenact San Benedetto's meeting with Totila

The Corteo Storico Terra Sancti Benedicti will reenact a meeting between San Benedetto and Totila on October 4, 2026. The performance is scheduled for 12:00 in the Chiostro del Bramante at the Territorial Abbey of Montecassino.

Abbot Dom Luca Fallica said the encounter is one of the most significant episodes in the life of the saint at Montecassino, according to the account in the second book of the Dialogues by San Gregorio Magno. The reconstruction is part of a project to keep alive the memory of the historical roots of the land of San Benedetto.
