Sisters of Charity of Nazareth respond to Nepal flooding

Sisters of Charity of Nazareth are working with local partners to provide shelter, bedding, clothing, and hygiene supplies to families affected by catastrophic flooding in Nepal. According to a report from the congregation, sisters in the region are also accompanying displaced families as they navigate the disaster.

Sister Jackulin Jesu, president of the congregation, and Sister Oliva Kujur, who has assisted in delivering relief, shared reflections on the situation. The flooding has also impacted communities in Bihar, India, where sisters and other responders are assisting families and clinics affected by downstream floodwaters.

Donations to the Nepal Flood Aid 2026 fund are intended to meet immediate needs and support long term recovery efforts.
