The Diocesan Pastoral Council of Pelplin met on October 29, 2026

Bishop Ryszard Kasyna and Bishop Przemysław Szulc attended the meeting of the Diocesan Pastoral Council of the Diocese of Pelplin. During the session, Bishop Kasyna presented members with appointment decrees for a three year term. The council includes individuals active in the life of the diocese and their parish communities.

Participants discussed the ministries of catechist, lector, and acolyte. Working in three groups, members addressed the formation of candidates, including selecting content, determining training locations and schedules, and identifying instructors. The groups also discussed how parishes can identify potential candidates, the difficulties new ministers may face, and who should provide ongoing formation.

The meeting included a presentation of the pastoral calendar for the 2026/2027 year. After the groups shared their conclusions, the council members participated in an open discussion.
