Suor M. Bernardita Meraz Sotelo to host Madre Scolastica Rivata event

The Pie Discepole del Divin Maestro scheduled an event titled "I Write to You... The Letters of Mother Scolastica Rivata" for the afternoon of Saturday, October 24, in Rome. The gathering, held at the Sala Scolastica or the crypt of the Church of the Divin Maestro, serves to examine the spiritual and communicative aspects of the letters written by Venerable Scolastica Rivata.

Sister M. Bernardita Meraz Sotelo, the superior general of the congregation, planned to open the event. The program includes a presentation on nuptial mysticism by Father Francesco Asti, dean of the Pontificia Facoltà teologica dell’Italia meridionale, San Tommaso d’Aquino section, and a discussion on the evolution of communication from paper to digital by Father Stefano Stimamiglio, director of Famiglia Cristiana. Sister Ana Paula Ramalho will speak on spiritual simplicity, and Father Fabio Ciardi will share a testimony regarding Mother Scolastica.

The event also marks the presentation of a book containing the letters of Mother Scolastica. As the first member of the congregation, she collaborated with Blessed Giacomo Alberione, who founded the Pie Discepole del Divin Maestro on February 10, 1924. Sister Maria Joseph Oberto, a member of the congregation, worked on the Positio regarding the heroic virtues of Mother Scolastica. The meeting was scheduled to be streamed on the YouTube channel discepolapddm.
