Dr. Christopher West holds reculegerea "Acesta este Trupul Meu" at Mănăstirea Carmelitanilor Desculți din Ciofliceni, Snagov

Dr. Christopher West led the "This is My Body" retreat at the Carmelite Monastery in Ciofliceni, Snagov, from September 11 to 13, 2026. Organized by the Magnificat Community and the Theology of the Body Institute from the United States, the event marked West's first visit to Romania.

Approximately 350 participants from across the country attended the retreat, including priests, consecrated persons, families, engaged couples, and young people. The program focused on the Theology of the Body and used the biblical encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman to explore human vocation and love.

Auxiliary Bishop Cornel Damian joined the participants on Saturday and presided over the festive Holy Liturgy on Sunday.
