The holiness of neighbors

The Diocese of Pamplona y Tudela shared a reflection on the upcoming Solemnity of All Saints on November 1. The text notes that many people view holiness as an unreachable goal reserved for those who perform miracles or extraordinary deeds.

The reflection cites Pope Francis and his apostolic exhortation Gaudete et exsultate to describe a "holiness of the next door." This concept suggests that God calls all people to holiness despite their daily occupations, weaknesses, and difficulties. The text suggests that neighbors often demonstrate goodness and service that reflect the presence of God.
