Archdiocese of Tunis visits Diocese of Mazara del Vallo

A delegation from the Archdiocese of Tunis visited the Diocese of Mazara del Vallo in Sicily from August 27 to 31. The group, which included Bishop Nicolas, Father Jacques, Sister Laura, Sister Jessy, and a member of the twinning team, traveled to visit their sister diocese.

The visit marks a milestone for the partnership between the two dioceses, which will soon celebrate 30 years of twinning. While Sicilian faithful have traditionally visited Tunisia once or twice a year, this trip allowed the Tunis delegation to meet with the Mazara twinning committee and engage with various ecclesial groups within the Sicilian diocese.

The Archdiocese of Tunis stated that the relationship serves as a way for both dioceses to support one another in faith and church life. The partnership aims to encourage dialogue and cooperation to address shared challenges.
