Istituto Cavanis publishes reflection on laity in the Church

Istituto Cavanis has released a four part reflection exploring the role and voice of the laity within the Church and the Institute's educational mission. The series examines the origins, meaning, and practical actions of laypeople.

Father Giuseppe Moni, the spiritual guide for the Cavanis Laity Fraternity and Coordinator of the Ufficio Carisma e Apostolato, leads the series. He distinguishes between the terms lay, laity, layhood, and secularism to explain how lay presence integrates into the educational work of the Institute.

The Institute provides the full text as a downloadable document to help members of its communities and works understand and apply these concepts to their activities.
